Skill Based Mentorship

Find a mentor but become one too!

You don’t need to be an expert to be a mentor – you just need to be giving. Pay it forward and show them how it’s done!

Iris Guo

Incoming PM @ Microsoft

Area of Expertise: Data, Leadership, Product

Career Level: Mid

Ask Me About: Start-ups, Product Management, Hackathons, Social Impact

“Whatever you do for yourself dies with you and whatever you do for others in the world remains and is immortal.” Born & raised in the Silicon Valley of China, my 17-year-old self came to Canada alone with a big dream of changing the world and 2 huge luggage. As time goes by, I would like to think that I am making great progress on my journey, with my glass-half-full attitude bringing me lots of friends & knowledge. With experiences in PM, VC, PE, Consulting & Trading, I learned to adapt to new teams and I have an acknowledged record of dealing with competing priorities and team conflicts under pressure. I believe that a great product manager has the brain of an engineer, the heart of a designer and the speech of a diplomat. As a product enthusiast, I take the initiative to achieve great outcomes that exceed expectations at an unusual level of autonomy.
